Established in 1921, Longniddry Golf Course is situated within East Lothian on Scotland’s Golf Coast. With a wonderful combination of woodland and links holes, this “stern but fair” course is a challenge. Designed by Harry S Colt, with no par 5s for Men but 8 par 4s measuring over 400 yards, Longniddry Golf Club offers a very good test of your golfing skills. The course has a par of 68 and the course record of 62 was set by amateur Mike Thomson of Peebles. Formerly an Open qualifying course, Longniddry Golf Club is regularly asked to host amateur competitions such as the LGA South East District Championship in September 2012 and, in May 2013, Longniddry Golf Club hosted the Scottish Ladies (Closed) Amateur Championship. Longniddry Golf Club has hosted the US Kids European Championships for many years and in 2023 is the venue for the Scottish Girls Open Championship.
There is a practice putting green and practice nets to loosen up the muscles and fine tune your touch before heading to the first tee. The resident professional, Colin Fairweather, and his team will ensure you are well looked after. The 18th green sits next to the clubhouse with amazing views from the patio area to Fife, Edinburgh and Arthurs seat. It’s a great spot for a sundowner after your round!

A unique golfing experience awaits close to the sands of Stravannan Bay on the west coast of the beautiful Isle of Bute. David played here as a Junior member during Summer holidays at the family house in Kilchattan Bay. He is honoured to have professional courtesy extended to him on the course and many of the family enjoy a social game with him, when he visits.
Here you will find a hidden gem … Bute Golf Club’s unique nine-hole Kingarth course which provides an opportunity to sample the very origins of the game. Golf has been played here for more than 129 years, making it the oldest course on the island.
Players can enjoy the splendour of seaside golf in a spectacular setting with the dramatic backdrop of The Sleeping Warrior on the mountains of Arran. There are panoramic views across the Kilbrannan Sound to Kintyre in the west and to the Ayrshire coast in the east from this short, but tricky, course.
